Friends, DB: 11.2.0.3 - 64 bit OS: OEL 6.3 64 bit just now i set up the physical standby database using rman duplicate. While duplicating i received this error.but i ignored.that error. RMAN-05535: WARNING: All redo log files were not defined properly.after finishing the duplication.i checked the v$logfile in standby database.

Hello Most likely you don't have DB_FILE_NAME_CONVERT and LOG_FILE_NAME_CONVERT in the standby INIT file.

Example here: ( see Step 4: Create an Initialization Parameter File for the Auxiliary Instance ) Example LOG_FILE_NAME_CONVERT=('/u01/app/oracle/flash_recovery_area/RECOVER2', '/u01/app/oracle/flash_recovery_area/RECLONE')You can have more than one location as long as you add them in groups of two. (Before, After) My duplicate notes are: duplicate for standby fails with RMAN-05535 when path the same as primary [ID 783113.1] Best Regards mseberg Edited by: mseberg on Oct 12, 2012 6:03 AM. Hello guys, has anybody a documentation/weblinks to setup the (content) logfile monitoring (rz20)?

Since the new 7.20 kernel it should be possible to run logfile monitoring without these agents, but I can't get any information how to setup which file should be monitored. Currently I'd tried to modify the file. SAP hostctrl work sapccmsr sapccmsr.ini ### Format of entries for logfile monitoring: # LogFile full path of logfile template LogFile. SAP hostctrl logmon diag_logmon.ini content of file diag_logmon.ini LOGFILE_TEMPLATE DIRECTORY='. Temp' (thats the full path to the db logfile) FILENAME='db2diag.log' MTE_CLASS='CcmsFileDB2DIAG' #RESCANFROMBEGIN=1 PATTERN_0='ADM1542W' VALUE_0=RED Version of hostctrl = 7.20 patch 124 After restart hostctrl service/reboot of server nothing happens (there is no error visible at the rz20 - logfile monitoring) Has anybody an idea to setup the file monitoring correctly? Best regards.

Please, explain me. Hello everyone, I have managed to put together a workflow in Automator to automatically backup our companies administration on a daily basis. This workflow runs on another Mac. The workflow ends with an email to myself, that the backup was successfully. The email will always be sent, regardless if there were some errors in the backup-workflow or not.

I noticed, that Automator creates a logfile of the workflow. Would it be possible, to get a daily email with (a copy of) this logfile, so I will know the backup was really successfully? Thanks in advance!

I am using oracle10.2.0.4.0 on windows server 2003 64 bit. I an new to windows and have written this script (.bat) that takes RMAN backup. The problem is when I test the batch file (through windows scheduler), it loops and doesnot even enter in RMAN. I have no idea what the problem is.

The looping goes on for ever until Control+C is pressed. Yes - It can be done while database up and running. Make sure the size of new member will be same as existing one for consistency. There is no need for that, if you want to simply 'resize' redo log files you will simply have to add a logfile with any size you want. On the other hand, If you are concerned about multiplexing redo log files, then you must not specify the size, this is automatically taken from the current redo log file size you plan to multiplex. ~ Madrid http://hrivera99.blogstpot.com. Hi All, I'm running a custom Stored Procedure which is then linked to a *RUN_STORED_PROCEDURE command in a logic in BPC7 (Microsoft version, SP7).

I would like to control the package status from within the stored procedure. After some tests, I've learned that if I put the string * ERROR * into a new line in the logfile, the package will interprete this as a keyword and correctly set the completion status to Error. I haven't been quite succesful with the warning messages though.

I've tried several combinations without success: WARNING * Warning: Warning message etc. Has anyone done this before? Thanks, Ibai Madariaga. Hi, The only way ot manage this is with DTSGLobalvariable. From what I imagine, you are calling the stored procedure from the BPC run logic task and in this way it is a little bit difficult to manage the error. The only way I can see in your case is to call the stored procedure from the specific microsoft task and populate the ERROR global variable with the result(into the SP you can build the message with [W] or [S] at the beggining). Same can be also realized using Activex and VB script.

Best regards, Mihaela. In the Directory's access log you will see a RESULT entry like the following, where the dn=' indicates an anonymous BIND [01/Mar/2007:14:24:59 -0500] conn=7 op=0 msgId=1 - RESULT err=0 tag=97 nentries=0 etime=0.127000 dn=' If an actual user logged in the RESULT line would include the user's DN, like below [01/Mar/2007:14:24:59 -0500] conn=2019877 op=0 msgId=1 - RESULT err=0 tag=97 nentries=0 etime=0.127000 dn='uid=myuserid,ou=people,dc=test,dc=com' If you are deloyed on a Unix/Linux system you can count all the anonymouse BINDS using the following grep -c 'tag=97.*dn= ' ' access. I created a dataguard, one primary database and one physical standby.

The protection mode is maximum protection. My issue is: everytime when I archive a logfile in primary, it will write to standby logfile in standby logfile. Then the standby logfile status will show 'ACTIVE', and can't reuse it.

If I need archive standby logfile in standby database, then I can get the standby logfile reuse? Now if I add one more standby logfile in standby database, I can archive a logfile in primary. Then I can't archive another more in primary, unless i add one more standby logfile in standby.

Strange because the Guest user has access and our employees can open the documents without any problems with anonymous/guest rights. Does anyone have an explanation or is there at least a way to suppress these warnings?

See output of logfile C: Program Files sapinst_instdir PATCH MSS/getEngineMode.log: 'Error while connecting to DB.' My db is SQL Server. Does SQL Server need to be running? I thought the install guide says no. Oracle writes to the redo log files in a circular fashion.

That is, it write to log group 1 until it is full, then does a log switch and starts writing group 2 until it is full. This continues until the last log group is full.

At this point, Oracle starts writing to group 1 again. By issuing ALTER SYSTEM SWITCH LOGFILE, you are forcing Oracle to switch to the next group whether the current group is full or not. If you are running in archivelog mode, then the archiver process will wake up on the log switch and write the redo log out to the archive destination. This happens the same way whether you force the switch, or Oracle does it normally. If you are not in archivelog mode, then nothing happens on the log switch. Hi there again, Based on this document, I do not have to rename the logical db.

However those DBAs done this before, do you recommend it? Because getting on DBID when registering the logfile?

If won't use RMAN to back my standby then it's ok to have the same DBID. Thanks Step 13. Rename your logical standby database. Renaming your logical standby database is not a required step. However, Oracle recommends renaming your logical standby database to ensure that the logical standby is never confused with the primary database. I upgraded Oracle 10.2.0.3 to 10.2.04 (on Solaris 10). The script catupgrd.sql produced a very large logfile (about 24 MB). Therefore my questions: 1.) Is there any search tool for 'real' errors in such a large output logfile?

2.) I made a grep for the string 'error' in this logfile but unfortunately Oracle doesn't quit successful finished actions with 'success' but with 'No errors'. Why 'No errors' and not 'success'? (which would make searching for errors much more sufficient) Is it an advice from the legal department? 3.) I got 1 warning: Warning: Package Body created with compilation errors.

I tried many things. I had a backyup of dns_cache whch i restored.

I did a touch command to make the file very recent. The last thing i did was ( when i searched in this forum for the problem) is that i ran it manually. Hello guys, I'd like to add multiple log files as attachments to an email in my VB application. I've tried using For Each as I did to add the files to a listbox, but it doesn't work.

How to solve this problem ah? Edited by: Martin Zheng on Dec 5, 2008 6:45 AM.

, Before starting this post I want to thanks Ilija from matoski.com as this post is based on his work on SPF / DKIM for Debian.. Let’s start with a very short description of DKIM. DomainKeys Identified Mail is a mechanism designated to detect email spoofing (i.e. Be sure that the original email content is the same as the received). It works with signatures. The public key is available on a DNS entry of the sender domain zone and the private key used to generate this signature is stored on the mail server.

This post will show how to configure DKIM on a Debian server with Postfix and automatize the configuration with Plesk. I assume you have sufficient permission to run these commands. Runing configuration Debian wheezy 3.2.0-4-amd64 Postfix 2.9.6 Plesk 12.0 OpenDKIM 2.6.8 After a great disscussion with M. Lieske who did a new install in August 2016, I can confirm it works with Debian jessie 8.5, OpenDKIM 2.9.2 (with some adjustements in the script below, see notes) and Plesk 12.5 Installation Let’s start with the installation of the OpenDKIM package. # Log to syslog Syslog yes SyslogSuccess yes LogWhy yes # Required to use local socket with MTAs that access the socket as a non- # privileged user (e.g. Postfix) UMask 002 # Commonly-used options; the commented-out versions show the defaults. Canonicalizationrelaxed/simple Mode sv PidFile /var/run/opendkim/opendkim.pid # Always oversign From (sign using actual From and a null From to prevent # malicious signatures header fields (From and/or others) between the signer # and the verifier.

From is oversigned by default in the Debian pacakge # because it is often the identity key used by reputation systems and thus # somewhat security sensitive. OversignHeaders From # Our KeyTable and SigningTable KeyTable refile:/etc/opendkim/KeyTable SigningTable refile:/etc/opendkim/SigningTable # Trusted Hosts ExternalIgnoreList /etc/opendkim/TrustedHosts InternalHosts /etc/opendkim/TrustedHosts # Hashing Algorithm SignatureAlgorithm rsa-sha256 # Auto restart when the failure occurs. CAUTION: This may cause a tight fork loops AutoRestart Yes AutoRestartRate 10/1h # Set the user and group to opendkim user UserID opendkim:opendkim # Specify the working socket Socket inet:8891@localhost. Service opendkim restart Postfix configuration The base setup of OpenDKIM is done we have now to setup Postfix to use it as milter. Open the /etc/postfix/main.cf and add the “inet:127.0.0.1:8891” value to the smtpd_milters and non_smtpd_milters configuration values.

There should already have other milters configured (psa-pc-remote / OpenDMARC / SPF), it depends from your actual configuration of Postfix. The order of the milters are important, especially for OpenDMARC that should be the last one as it depends of SPF and OpenDKIM. Service postfix restart OpenDKIM domain scripts At this point OpenDKIM is configured and active in Postfix, last step is to generate Keys for every domains. Here is the full script that will enable DKIM for a specific domain. This script will: • Create the Keys • Setup the Signing Table to enable the DKIM signature for all addresses of this domain • Add the domain to the trusted hosts file • Create the DNS record on the Plesk Database • Update DNS configuration via a Plesk CLI command • Reload services to apply the changes • Be sure to enable SPF signing for this domain. Echo 'Warning: DNS record is not automatically removed'; Plesk automation When a domain is created or removed from Plesk it would be fun to automatize DKIM activation or deactivation. Fist we have to create another custom script to handle every action for a domain creation and another one when the domain is removed.

Even if Plesk events handler can have multiple command lines it’s better to only do a call to an external script. For the example let’s have a script folder at the system root /scripts/ that will contain every scripts. The first one is “openDKIMDomGen. How To Install Hping On Windows 7. sh”.

It contains every lines of the OpenDKIM creation script shown above. The second one is “openDKIMDomRemove.sh” and contain the removal script above. These scripts can be executed only from the root user (chmod 700). Let’s create the script “pleskDomainCreatedEvent.sh” that will be called when a new domain is created. / scripts / postSRSDomainRemove.sh $ 1 Next phase is to configure Plesk Event Manager. Log on to Plesk with administrator account an go to Server Management ->Tools & Settings ->Tools & Ressources ->Event Manager. Create a new Event Handler for the domain creation: Then create a new Event Handler for the domain removal: Configure OpenDKIM for every active domains on the Plesk server The Plesk Event Handler doesn’t help to configure OpenDKIM of all already active domains on the Plesk Server.

A little command that call the openDKIMDomGen.sh script for every domain can be used.
